Mattias Alkberg BD

Producerad av Jari Haapalainen i Gunnerfeldts studio.

Måndag 05:30, inget varmvatten. Dushar kallt i mörkret och iväg. Missar bussen, lommar hem igen. Kommer försent till helvetet. Vilket skitjobb, tungt, men ändå knappt betalt.

It’s easy enough for clients to say that they want the site learnable and memorable, and that users should complete tasks efficiently and feel very satisfied at the end, but in creating tests such goals are no more useful than “to determine if the site is usable.”

The guide is intended to be helpful throughout the entire development cycle of e-learning courses. It includes strategies for usability engineering that can be used by the course designers early in the development process and information about usability testing that can be applied to completed courses.

A good article written by Michael Feldstein, SUNY Learning Network, and Lisa Neal, eLearn Magazine.

Explanazine - A New Series on Educational Gaming
(via Corporate eLearning Development):

Currently, my prediction is that this phenomenon will begin manifesting itself overtly in late 2007, with a transformative explosion occurring in 2008-2009. By 2010, I expect gaming (or experiential learning through play and discovery) to be an accepted and primary paradigm for education in the K-20 markets.

Each Saturday, for the next two months, I will address the topic of gaming in education.

Very interesting, indeed. I am really looking forward to read more on this.

What’s K20?
The National Internet2 K20 Initiative brings together Internet2 member institutions and innovators from primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, libraries, and museums to extend new technologies, applications, middleware, and content to all educational sectors, as quickly and connectedly as possible.

Useful evaluation http://blog.infoninja.net/2006/03/15/useful-evaluation/ http://blog.infoninja.net/2006/03/15/useful-evaluation/#comments Wed, 15 Mar 2006 21:27:12 +0000 klas Information Designbloggingsoftwareusability http://blog.infoninja.net/2006/03/15/useful-evaluation/ I started writing on this blog about 50 days ago. It does not feel as that many a days but I have during this period of time been trying to conform myself into using different applications related to blogs and social software/services.

Last couple of weeks has been a little bit out of the ordinary on a personal level and I have been struggling to maintain some kind of momentum in using all these nifty applications and services I signed up for.
I am referring to:

  • Technorati
Real time search engine for blogs.
  • Blinklist
A place where you can save, share and access links.
  • Del.icio.us
A place where you can save, share and access links.
  • Bloglines
Online service for searching, subscribing, creating and sharing information.
  • Wordpress
    Semantic personal publishing platform.
  • Performancing
    Firefox extension used when blogging.

I have made an effort in using these applications and services. I have changed my habits, in a positive way, on some of these but when it comes to documenting my links to myself as well as to other interested people I can only improve or maybe just leave it.

Del.icio.us is rather delicious when it comes to pages already exisiting in their list, that means I usually only have to click on the already added tags. I guess it boils down to being lazy.

And Blinklist is suffering from a sort of function vs. design syndrome. I grew a profound frustration when the page scrolled up by default. Tiny things tick me off when it comes to start using it.

Sometimes, if not most of the times, I just want to save the link without having to think about tags and mouse clicks. That is why I have another way of documenting interesting pages. It involves no tags and can only be browsed on my computer at work, by date. I drag-and-drop them over to folder I create each day. It is the easiest way I could come up with and, for me, it works.

Bloglines is great. I use it every day.
I don’t know what to make of Technorati, yet. I see the possibilities but I do not use it. What can I say. I’m lazy. Are you? :)
